I'm eager to hear your story.
Dr. Anand Jayanti is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a passion for helping individuals and families enhance their communication and emotional understanding. Born in India and raised throughout America, Dr. Jayanti's multicultural upbringing has deeply influenced his empathetic approach to psychiatry. As a child, he was often described as a "thinker," a trait that led him to express his feelings through art and writing. However, it was during his young adulthood that he realized the importance of not only thinking, but also speaking openly about emotions, a journey that continues to shape his professional and personal life.
Dr. Jayanti earned his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and continued his training at The University of Texas at Austin. He completed his residency at the UT Health Science Center in Tyler and pursued a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at UT Dell in Austin.
Dr. Jayanti believes that improving communication is key to enhancing wellbeing in relationships. Throughout his life, he observed how misunderstandings between people often stemmed not from bad intentions but from a lack of tools and insights to understand and communicate their feelings. He sees his role as both an honor and a humbling experience.
Dr. Jayanti sees patients struggling with relationships, marital issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma. He does not see patients needing controlled substances on the first visit, fitness for duty evaluations, or those requiring emergency services that an ER or inpatient hospital would be more appropriate for.
Dr. Jayanti works with you to find an ideal balance between therapy and medication management, which are demonstrated to work best when paired together. Beginning with an intake diagnostic session, you'll establish a frequency and duration of treatment that best suits your needs and availability.
